Our roots run deep.
Proudly 100% women-owned and 100% women-run, Biweda Nguni Lodge was born from the vision of a mother-and-daughter team whose roots in Mkuze run deep. Originally farmers in this beautiful part of Zululand, our connection to the land, its people and its culture has shaped who we are and what we stand for.
Our dream has always been to create something truly special while making a meaningful difference in our local community.

At the heart of Biweda is a commitment to empowering women. We believe in creating opportunities, developing skills and giving young women the confidence, training and tools they need to build meaningful careers in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Today, we are incredibly proud of our team of 15 local women who bring our beautiful lodge to life every day. From hospitality and housekeeping to the kitchen and guest experiences, these women are the heart and soul of Biweda.
